However, peace and joy turn to terror and famine when Scar, Mufasa’s brother, murders Mufasa before Simba’s eyes and forces him into exile to seize the throne.

During his exile, Simba meets Pumbaa and Timon, who become his caretakers. They raise him until he is strong and wise enough to return and reclaim his rightful place as King of the Land of Lions..
